I like to play clash of Clans with my family and friends. We have a clan set up and are all really in to it, there is just so much to do in this game. Well... raid, defend, upgrade, raid. and so on.
First... raid
Raiding is the biggest part of the game. You train an army, and then go find a base to plunder and destroy.
you search the "Clouds" until you find a base that looks right to you. You could be looking for Loot, Sniping, or Trophies depending on what your needs are. You start deploying Dragons, an Archer Queen, Rage Spells, or a mass of Barbarians to wipe through the base.
To destroy a base you pretty much just.. destroy it. Tap and hold, sit back and enjoy the action. From Barch to W,A,G and Lava-Loonion there are infinite stradegies and outcomes.
Now about Winning... There are 3 total stars you can achieve in any raid. One, 50% destruction, Two Destroying the Town Hall, and Three 100% Domination. Or you might just completely fail and get no stars, meaning 49% and under destruction and the Town Hall still standing. when this happens it stinks... You lose!!
So we went over raiding which is essentially offense. Now we are covering defense... protecting your base from other people's troops. In defense there are three types of defenses. Towers, Walls & Traps, and other buildings(for distraction).
There are also three things you want to protect, Resources, your Town Hall, and Defensive Towers. The last one may sound contradictory but there is a reason for it. The longer a defense says alive, the longer it damages the enemy troops. The town hall is an obvious target because, when destroyed, it yields an instant 1 star victory to the raiding player(Bad). Resources are also an obvious target because they are used to upgrade things and all around they are currency. most players attack bases manly for getting the recources. They are harder to protect than your town hall because they are spread out over around multiple buildings, Storages, Mines, and Clan Castle
More about Defensive Towers... Towers are your main way of defending your base. they damage the enemy in different ways depending on the tower and troop it targets. Your base layout is completely customizable. You can build it for whatever strategy you want... Farming, Trophy pushing, Trolling or any other thing you could think of. Another vital part of the game... without good defense, great offense is meaningless.
Upgrading & Currency
There are three four types of money, Gold, Elixir, Dark Elixir, and Gems(which cost real cash). Raiding is the main way to get resources... raiding it from other players bases, but there are also Mines and collectors that produce a small baseline of currency fro you to use. But remember the more money you have the more likely people will raid you, Spend it fast.I will go into more detail in future posts about specific things inside Clash Remember.... keep on Clashing
